According to USA TODAY the meat that kids are served at most public schools is below the standards of KFC, Campbell's, McDonald's, Burger King, and Jack in the Box.  They also say that the government does not check the meat for bacteria as often as most fast food chains do, which means the meat is even more likely to make kids sick than fast food meat is.  So the meat that they're serving kids may be closer to pet food quality... Yikes.  Now might be a good time to go veg if you haven't already!
